Characteristics

The Elisefarm Golf Course opened in August 2005 and is the first Hawtree design in Sweden since the Old Course at Båstad was designed by FG Hawtree in 1928. The Hawtree family has been associated with numerous championship courses such as Royal Birkdale, Portmarnock, Royal Dublin, Lahinch and latest work has been carried out at Royal Melbourne.

Martin Hawtree, the grandson of FG Hawtree, has designed Elisefarm Golf Course to display some of the recognizable Hawtree bunkers and green surrounds. With careful attention and respect for the existing landscape the course is being created with the classical British golf course as the role model - deeply rooted in the history of the game.

The Hawtree philosophy of creating a fair and challenging course for all players regardless of skill level also holds true for Elisefarm GC where four sets of tees allow players to choose a tee that suits their game. Furthermore the hazards on the course will challenge the players to consider different strategies and test their courage.
