Characteristics
"The art of working with nature" was the motto the American golf course architect Kyle Phillips had in mind when he set out to design the Eichenheim golf course, which has ranked among Austrias, if not Europes, most beautiful golf courses over the past 10 years. Steep rock walls, natural streams, thickset deciduous forests and long pars create a unique atmosphere in the striking scenery of the Kitzbühel Alps. The par 71 course has a length of 6,092 metre and with its difference in altitude of 116 meters and 512-meter long par 5 course represents a sports challenge even for the more exigent of golfers. The many e-cars available are equipped with GPS, giving the golf players seeking to master the sport challenges optimal support.
The driving range of the Eichenheim golf course has 30 tees, 13 of which are roofed over. The driving range also features a practice bunker and a putting green to give guests enough room for practicing and putting even in the high season.
Golfers will find great opportunities to relax and enjoy refreshments in the Golfbistro and at the golf lounge of the club house which is also open to external guests. While sipping an aperitif or relishing the fresh items from the bistro kitchen, golfers as well as non-golfers get to enjoy the view of Kitzbühel valley and relish the suns last rays before it dips behind the skyline of the Hahnenkamm mountain. Exclusive respite is also not far off. The gourmet restaurant "Petit Tirolia", which has been awarded 3 toques and 18 points by the Gault Milau guide, is also located in the club house. It is directly linked to the building of Grand Tirolia Golf & Ski Resort by a roofed hallway. A stop over at the bar or in the Green Spa of Grand Tirolia is the ideal way to round out a perfect golf day.
