20 years ago. We were obsessed with golf, enthusiastic about the idea, overcome various difficulties, counted frogs, had dreams of burning from the tee on the Czech side, across the water (over Balk's pond) to the green located on the Austrian side… but that was before EU and Schengen.
We just suspected that the installation of golf in the border region could be of benefit to the development of the region and tourism.
From the introductory word on November 13, 1999 when opening the driving:
Our intention is to enable the general public to get to know the landscape that has been banned for a long time, and through it, to raise the name of the region of Canada. Much has changed over the past 10 years, but the two elements in the Jindřichův Hradec region are absolutely exceptional and we both have the initiative to be born. These are two projects that raised the prestige of Jindřichův Hradec to the social limelight and gave the district a different level. The first is the establishment of the University in Jindr. Hradec and the second is a golf resort, whose importance for the region will be appreciated only in the future.
Therefore, the first shot was the first dean, Zd. Žemlička (photo), ... and the next day the first snow fell.
