Characteristics

Lycke is a beautiful seaside golf course situated on the west coast, a 35 minute drive north of Sweden’s second largest city, Göteborg. The course was designed by LPGA Tour player and Solheim Cup Captain Helen Alfredsson and Swedish golf course architect Johan Henrikson.

Opened as late as in 2005 the course is already in splendid condition and will host a tournament on Ladies European Tour in 2008 and 2009.

The course has large, modestly undulated USGA bentgrass greens. Half the course is seaside and half park-/forest. The course has been known for being a course for the thinking player offering many playing alternatives. It has also been acclaimed for being as fun and interesting to play from the ladies tees as from the men’s. Stretching over 6670 yards from the back tees, the course can offer a real challenge as the coastal winds are always a factor to deal with.
