Open 365 days of the year, Golf Son Parc Menorca offers its multiple services to fully enjoy this sport. All visitors are welcome to play 9 or 18 holes. We can also provide hire clubs, trolleys and Buggies and why not? Take part in one of the competition held throughout the year.

Technical details:

The course was opened in 1977 with 9 holes and today it has 18 holes a high quality competition course redesigned by the well know course architect Dave Thomas (creator of many prestigious courses such as San Roque and Brabazon, where the Ryder Cup was held at The Belfry). The maximum distance from the white tee competition markers is 5,169 metres, from the men’s yellow tees 4,872 metres. Ladies have a competition distance from the blue tees of 4,652 metres and on other days from the red tees of 4,320 metres.

The Par of the course is 69 and is comprised of 6 Par 3’s, 9 Par 4’s and 3 Par 5’s.

Golf Son Parc Menorca is special for many reasons. Offering a natural, relaxing and fascinating golfing experience. The course is as competitive as it is picturesque, the 18 hole surrounded by pine woods with a narrow flat layout. Difficulties can arise on windy days, on the new holes where there is a dog-leg, near the wide well defined greens and on the holes with a water feature. On one side of the course is bordered by an extensive wet area. Rocky bunkers, the lakes, the wild canes and the colony of Peacocks are some of the distinctive characteristics of the course. There are many strategically thought out obstacles and bunkers giving way to a very technical layout characterised by its undulating greens which offer a challenge not only to the beginner golfer but also the experts. There is also a Driving Range, 190 mts long and 83 mts wide, with 18 bays: 14 are covered and 4 outside and nocturnal illumination, a putting green and a chipping area, all this is visible from the terrace of the Bar – Restaurant Romeo y Julieta Menorca. Golf School

The golf school is open to anyone interested in learning the game of golf in a quiet and very nice environment.

Our golf professional Gustavo Flammia, is available throughout the week from Wednesday to Sunday, morning and evening, to meet the demand of new players and to help improve the swing of who have already approach the green.

Lessons in general can be individual or for groups and we offer special courses for the Companies.

Gustavo Flammia is an Italian-Argentinian golf pro.

He is an architect and became golf teacher in 2005 and enrolled in the Spanish PGA.

In October 2009 he has participated and earned his degree for the Certified Fitness Professional TPI1 course that the Spanish Federation organized

during the golf trade fair in Madrid.

It has a medium level of English and achieved the following sports titles:

• 2008 11º position on the Peugeot Loewe Tour
• 2007 1º position on the Campeonato Nacional de Monitores de golf de Layos
• 2006 2º position on the Campeonato Nacional de Monitores de golf Dunas de Doña Ana
• 1990 2º position on the Campeonato Nacional Menores Golf Club Las Praderas de Lujan – Argentina

Golf for juniors

In this club there are many facilities for children to learn to play golf, as well as receiving the young golfers with great affection and warmth. Children which do not have a handicap by the Federation or his club should be accompanied by an adult who do have this, or it can be achieved with the help of our Pro Gustavo Flammia(Tato).

The golf course and practice area are dangerous places for children and is the responsibility of parents or adults accompanying them, have them under control, even if they are near the clubhouse.

Because we care about the kids we offer a special price depending on ages and the hire of equipment is also quite cheap to encourage the family to play together.

Furthermore, the proshop has also got equipment for children to sell and for rent clubs are available for kids from 5 years.

The Academy runs courses for children during the school period which is mid September to end of June every Friday afternoon and Saturday mornings from 9.30 am to 13.30 pm and the cost per child is 35 € per month.

During holiday period taylor made lessons for kids are also available.

Son Parc Urbanisation

Golf Son Parc Menorca is situated in the Urbanisation of Son Parc, a tourist area on the north coast of the island, a few kilometres from the beach of Arenal de Son Saura. Son Parc belongs to the municipality of Mercadal, where the highest point of the island can be found, the mountain of Monte Toro, from this point you can see impressive views of the whole island. Here also there is an Augustine Monastery home to a group of nuns from the same order. There is also a shop where souvenirs can be bought as well a Bar/Restaurant.

How to get here

If we use the airport as a starting point, the way to go is: Go towards Maó until you get to the port, once there head towards Fornells on the Maó-Fornells road after approximately 18 kilometres you will see the crossroads with the turning into Son Parc, from this crossroads we are about 2 kilometres going towards the urbanisation and the entrance to the car park.

General Information

The busiest season for playing golf is from May to October, leaving the winter free to play in peace and quiet, as the golf course is open 365 days of the year. Anyone who wants to come over to try out this sport can do so every days of the year.

The Club organise throughout the year a wide calendar of golf competition which include official sponsored ones, competition for kids and a Golf Week in May, normally the second week-end, starting with the MEN MENORCA OPEN where the participation on this tournament is international.

All competition are open to members and visitors.
