Characteristics

Coosheen Golf Club is situated in one of the finest locations in the The 7th Holeworld. With the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Mt. Gaberial to the north, and when you look across the harbour, to see the village of Scull, it is a breathtaking experience. An experience that course architect and owner Donal Morgan enjoys every day.

This delightful course with its narrow fairways and tight green is a The 8th Holechallenge for any golfer. Because of its location beside the sea, the weather plays a huge part in the course all year round. If the nine hole were not hard enough they sure are when the winds blow at Coosheen.

Copper was once mined in the town land of Coosheen. A shaft entrance can still be seen on the course today, and if unlucky you may even lose a ball inThe 9th Hole it.

On you way around Coosheen Golf Club there are some fantastic views, the Fastnet Lighthouse, Long Island, Mt. Gaberial and Schull harbour and village. So if you are having a bad day golfing the scenery will keep you going.
