Characteristics

‘‘a friendly and accommodating club with excellent quality greens that hold up all year round’’ St. Andrews Major Golf Club has been established since 1991 and is nestled in the Vale of Glamorgan countryside between Dinas Powys, Penarth and Barry.

We have excellent communication links being situated less than 10 miles from Junction 33 of the M4 motorway, 20 minutes from Cardiff City centre, Millennium Stadium and Cardiff City Football Stadium, 30 minutes from the Celtic Manor (venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup) and less than 10 minutes from Cardiff Wales airport.

The fully established 18-hole layout is set in picturesque parkland, benefiting from natural features such as old oak trees and low undulating land that lends itself to an enjoyable rather than a physically exhausting round of golf. St Andrews Major Golf Club is a proprietary owned golf club with a strong and active membership as well as providing a warm welcome to all visitors.

St Andrews Major Golf Club is a very popular golf society venue providing excellent facilities, good food and a warm welcome. We actively encourage a family atmosphere and an accessible approach to golf with an ever expanding junior section. It is our aim to encourage more people of all ages to come and take up golf and become involved for life.
