Characteristics

Natural water hazards can catch the players out, with streams and a pond coming into play no fewer than 15 times during the round - maybe more for some! And many new trees and shrubs around the course are now well established, creating more problems for an erratic shot.

This easy walking, open parkland course is a picturesque spot high above the River Tees and presents stunning views of the surrounding Durham countryside.

The course offers a series of different tests. There is an abundance of wild life on the course - curlews, pheasants and many other bird species are regularly seen. Hares, rabbits and deer are also inhabitants of the beautiful course.
