Characteristics

Alva Golf Course is well known locally for being a challenging course. Picturesque over the majority of holes, but with many natural hazards in whin, gorse, burns and gulleys. Being limited to 9 holes for the length of its history, has not prevented many a young Alva golfer progressing towards a single figure handicap on Alva Golf Course.
