Characteristics

McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two Desmond Muirhead designed, 18 hole traditional golf courses, the Palm and the Pine, which were built in 1971. Both of these courses, which are among the most popular resort layouts in the Valley of the Sun, are more than 7,000 yards long.

...The Palm has ten water holes and, as its name suggests, numerous, large palm trees throughout the course. The Pine is characterized by narrow fairways, which issue a sportful challenge, and it features a multitude of mature pine trees. For average golfers, the men’s and women’s tees provide a particularly enjoyable golfing experience. In contrast, the championship tees offer low handicappers an extremely competitive test. The ninth hole on the Palm, the course’s signature hole because of its unique, island fairway, was included among “America’s top 18 water holes”, as selected by Golf Illustrated.

McCormick Ranch Golf Club, open every day of the year and able to accommodate 600 players per day, is a favorite among residents, visitors and convention groups. Surrounded by a collection of Scottsdale’s most prominent Resorts, the Club features breathtaking Southwestern scenery, immaculate course conditions, and gracious attention given by its service-oriented personnel.
