Characteristics

The Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass THE PLAYERS Stadium Course is truly a course where the PGA TOUR professionals come to play. This course is the crown jewel of Northeast Florida and is known as designer Pete Dye’s signature course. The TPC - THE PLAYERS Stadium Course plays host to THE PLAYERS Championship every year which attracts the strongest field in golf and is one of the PGA TOURs most coveted titles. This course is marked by one of the most photographed, controversial and exciting golf holes in the world, the infamous “island hole” 17. With a wide green that narrows to the right side, club selection on this hole is critically important in order to keep your ball dry. During the rest of you round you will find yourself dodging water that comes into play every hole and large oaks that surround the fairway.

With its tournament like conditions the TPC - THE PLAYERS Stadium Course has been ranked #2 in Florida, #11 in the US and #32 in the world by Golf Digest in 2003-2004. Located in beautiful Ponte Vedra Beach, the TPC - THE PLAYERS Stadium

The younger brother of the famous THE PLAYERS Stadium Course, the TPC - Dyes Valley Course at Sawgrass is one of the top courses you can play in Northeast Florida. Designed by Bobby Weed and Pete Dye this course was originally designed for the Champions Tour. The 6,838 yard par 72 course was the second to be built at TPC Sawgrass and was finished in 1987. The TPC - Dyes Valley Course at Sawgrass will prove to be a challenge for any skill level with its undulations on the fairways, sweeping greens and water the comes into play upon every hole. Though the Dyes Valley Course is a bit milder than THE PLAYERS Stadium Course, you will find yourself need to make accurate shots while you fight the winds from the Atlantic Ocean which is one mile away from the course. The TPC - Dyes Valley Course at Sawgrass has been accredited with being one of the “Top 10 PGA Courses You Can Play” by Golf Magazine in 1998.

The Dyes Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass has played host too many different events such as the NFL Golf Classic, Vantage Ace Shootout and the Champions Tour Championship. On your next stop up to Florida’s First Coast step up to the Dyes Valley and play where the PGA TOUR Professionals play.
